Bay Shore Blues

Well…our 9 game winning streak came to a terrible halt last night. We lost to Bay Shore Blue 17-7. I won’t even begin to describe the breakdown we experienced. As they say around here “it wern’t pretty”.
We’re now tied with Central Worship Blue for first place. There’s five teams with only two loses. It’s starting to get interesting. We’ll put this game behind us and move on.

Well it’s almost been a week since the “Amazing Race” and I’m starting to think that my life is summoned up in one word…”Hype”. I live for the build-up and then I crash after it’s all said and done. I’m the kind of person that needs to be constantly busy doing something. My competitive nature won’t let me rest. I guess I’ll have to wait until the next challenge rears itself. As Tom Petty so plainly put it…”The waiting is the hardest part.”

This morning at 7:30 you might have heard that a wind storm had blown through. Don’t dismay…it was just me breezing by Howard in the amazing race. I’ll have some video footage to follow soon. I’ll give my opponent credit, he didn’t take much of a head start at all. He had me worried, but I did what I came to do. Stay tuned for updates.

Travers vs. Franklin I

In a press release today it was announced that I will be racing Joy In The Morning co-host Howard “Hurricane” Travers. And to be honest…Howard is a hurricane that gets a lot of talk but fails to make land-fall. We will be racing about 100 yards down the driveway here at the studio. This race won’t even be close. I’m going to sweep Howard up in a funnel of fury. He’ll be so disoriented that he won’t be able to comprehend the full extent of his defeat. Anyway…the Lord has humbled me in stranger ways, but I can’t see this being one of them. The race is Tuesday morning June 10th at 7:30am. Rodney Baylous will be delivering play-by-play on the air. Please put Howard on your church prayer list as he will no doubt need it.
