Announcement

I just learned today that Pastor James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is incredible teacher and man of God. His radio ministry “Walk In The Word” was instrumental in renewing my hunger for God’s word. Here is a link to his blog and I think that what he has to say is encouraging. Please keep he and his family and church in your prayers.

I can never make sense of this monster that is cancer. I know far to many good people all around me who are dealing with its difficult effects. Sometimes I think “when is it my turn?” I’m so glad that we serve a God who is able to make good from anything….even cancer.

December Meeting

Our next meeting is Saturday Dec. 13th at 7pm in Laurel, DE. E-mail if you need directions, cfranklin@wolc.org It’s at the home of Chris & Nicole Theis.

We’ll be discussing the idea of doing some caroling at the Manor House in Seaford. We also need to address the issue of helping needy families. You’d be surprised at how many families are being affected by the hard economic times. We need to be the Body of Christ and reach out to these people. So come with your ideas on how we might accomplish this.

Random Stuff

I apologize to the 3 of you that read my blog.  It’s been a little while since my last post.  We made it home from Florida in one piece and have had a chance to rest up a bit.  I have pictures from our trip here.  Keep in mind I’m still posting pictures so check backs for updates.

I’ve been inspired to begin a new format of blogging.  It’s designed to be informative and simple to navigate.  I always come across interesting things on the world wide web and this will be a way for me to stream line the information.  So here it is.
